My Story

Hi, I'm Nathan. My professional journey has been focused on one thing: helping people get "unstuck" and find a steadier path forward.

My path to becoming a therapist began at Southern Methodist University, where I earned my Master of Science in Counseling in 2019. I began my clinical work shortly after that and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, serving clients in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.

To ensure I can provide the most effective, research-backed care for trauma, I've pursued advanced certification in MEMI (Multichannel Eye Movement Integration), a powerful, trauma-focused method. This training, combined with my clinical experience, forms the foundation of how I help my clients build real, lasting change.

My Mission

My mission is to work with adults who feel like life is holding them by the collar. You might feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, addiction, or self-doubt, carrying unresolved trauma, or just finding that the ways you've coped in the past don't work anymore.

My goal is to help you find relief that's steadier than a quick fix. We do this by:

  1. Identifying What's Holding You Back: We use a collaborative and direct approach to get to the root of the problem.

  2. Addressing the Deeper Issues: We'll address the underlying drivers of these patterns, which are often related to trauma, depression, or anxiety.

  3. Building Your Toolkit: I use practical, evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused techniques (like MEMI) to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more in control.

I specialize in treating Anxiety, Depression, and Coping Skills, and have extensive experience with Addiction, Men's Issues, Life Transitions, and Trauma/PTSD. I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches to fit you, including CBT, Humanistic, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered therapy.

I am here for you.

As your therapist, I am your partner, your supporter, and—at times—your challenger. Our first session is simply about getting to know you and what brought you here. I am here to listen, to advocate for you, and to build a path forward with you.

You’ve been trying to "just push through" on your own for a long time. You don't have to do it alone anymore.

Therapy doesn’t have to feel like one more thing you’re trying to survive. It can be a place to breathe, reset, and start feeling like yourself again. When you're ready to start, I'm here to help.
