Therapy for Self-Esteem

Are You Your Own Worst Critic?

Living with low self-esteem is like moving through life with a constant, critical voice in your head. You might feel like you never measure up, or you might be stuck in a cycle of self-doubt and shame. It's exhausting, and it can make you feel awkward and self-conscious, no matter how much you try to "just be confident."

This constant self-criticism can lead to:

  • Feelings of anxiety and depression

  • A lack of joy or motivation

  • Perfectionism or procrastination

  • Difficulty in relationships (codependency)

  • A deep feeling of being "not good enough"

My Approach to Building Self-Esteem

I want you to know that low self-esteem is not a life sentence. It's a learned pattern of thought, and it can be changed.

My approach isn't just about "thinking positively." We'll use practical, evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to get to the root of these negative beliefs. Low self-esteem is often a symptom of deeper issues, like chronic anxiety, depression, or unresolved trauma. We will address those root causes together.

Our work will focus on:

  • Identifying and challenging that critical inner voice.

  • Understanding where these beliefs of "not being good enough" came from.

  • Absolving the negative beliefs and replacing them with genuine self-compassion.

  • Building a healthier, more realistic, and more resilient sense of self.

You Can Feel Confident and Worthy

You don't have to be at war with yourself. You can learn to break this cycle and start feeling better. My goal is to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more confident in who you are.

If you're ready to quiet that inner critic, I invite you to contact me today.
